Audrey Spall just emailed me this exciting news about the SSU CNECM program. The program will now accept spring applicants! Also, Napa Valley College is once again part of CNECM.

Sonoma State's Department of Nursing would like to announce an exciting change to our Post-Licensure (CNECM) BSN program. Moving forward, we will now accept applications from spring start/mid year graduates.  Previously, CNECM has only been open to students who began their ADN in fall semester, however last year, in an effort to expand access to more students, we offered 8 mid-year ADN students admission to the program, as a trial. Based on the success of this initial group, we are thrilled to expand our pool to include spring start students.  All students will continue to apply to CNECM during the Jan 15 - March 1 application period.  We are currently updating our website to reflect this change.   ALL ADN students in SSU service area may now be eligible to apply for this program. Specifically, students who are graduating this semester; or are in their first or second semester of ADN now, may apply to start the program in Summer 2024. Admitted Students who are graduating December 2023 will take two summer courses simultaneously and prepare for full-time in Fall 2024.  

We are very excited to share this change with you and plan to implement immediately with our next application cycle (Jan 15-Mar 01, 2024).  

We are offering a zoom info session on Dec 17, 2023 4-5pm for any students who may have missed our visit earlier this semester.
